Pune aluminium casting cluster (Maharashtra)
Introduction
Pune, in Maharashtra, hosts a cluster of about 50 aluminium casting units, comprising 12 micro units, 30 SMEs, and 8 large-scale units. The cluster accounts over a fifth of India’s total aluminium castings production. The casting products include aluminium alloy wheels, cylinder heads, engine bodies, engine pipes, suspension forks, electrical motors, pumps, fans, etc.The client industries include automobile giants like Bajaj Auto, Honda, M&M and Tata, and electrical majors like Siemens and Crompton Greaves.
