Ludhiana Forging Industries (Punjab)

Introduction

Ludhiana city is known as the industrial capital of Punjab, and also called the 'Manchester of India' because of the numerous industrial units located in and around the city. Among them is a cluster of about 500 MSME forging units. The forgings produced in the cluster cater to the needs of industries such as cycle, automobile, machinery and engineering. Major customers include USHA, Hitachi, Punjab State Electricity Board, KJ Group, and automobile companies such as TVS, Bajaj & Sons, Sonalika, Swaraj, Mahindra etc. The cluster provides employment to about 13,000 people.
