Ramnagar Plastic Industries (Uttar Pradesh)

Introduction

Ramnagar is situated in Chandauli District, Uttar Pradesh, which has over 3000 industrial units manufacturing products like chemicals, papers, engineering equipment, electronic products, plastic and textiles. Ramnagar has a cluster of about 52 MSMEs manufacturing plastic products such as bags, sacks, pipes, fittings and other plastic components. Depending on products manufactured, the unit-level production varies from 950 tonnes/year to above 7500 tonnes/year. Electricity is the main source of energy for the plastic units, accounting for about 84% of total energy consumption. The cluster provides employment to about 600 people.
