Upscaling Energy Efficient Production in Small Scale Steel Industry in India
UNDP is conducting a project titled ‘Upscaling Energy Efficient Production in Small Scale Steel Industry in India’ in partnership with the Ministry of Steel, Government of India and supported by AusAid. The project aims to upscale energy efficient interventions in the steel re-rolling mills sector and other sub-sectors of the small-scale steel industry in India. This will enable mitigation of GHG emissions and lead to improvement in productivity.Read more
GEF - World Bank Project "Financing of Energy Efficiency at MSMEs
The project is part of Global Environmental Facility (GEF) Programmatic Framework for Energy Efficiency in India with an objective to increase demand for energy efficiency investments in target micro, small and medium enterprise clusters and to build their capacity to access commercial finance. The GEF implementation agency for this project is the World Bank, and the two executing agencies are Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Under the project a knowledge portal has been launched.
The portal contains information on energy efficient technologies, best Industrial practices and success stories that may find interest among different stakeholders. There are dedicated sections providing contacts of technology suppliers, energy efficiency financing schemes, list of energy professionals trained under the project that one may contact and get relevant solutions.Read more
